DEXTER aka “The Queen”

Bio: Woof woof! Hello! My name is Dexter, but you can call me The Queen because I am the leader of our doggie possy here at Wearable Mantra. But my life wasn’t always this glamorous… I was abandoned at a park in Rowlett, Texas in August 2015 during the dreaded heat of the summer. Luckily, a pair of good Samaritans found me, took me to a shelter, and adopted me. Then, in May 2018, I joined the Mantranaut family at Wearable Mantra. Because of my past, it takes me longer to warm up to strangers and I sometimes lash out when I get scared, but things get better each day. At the time, I was the only dog around, but thanks to my ability to melt human hearts, our family is quickly growing! Helping other rescue dogs is a cause near and dear to me. And since I was the first one around, I guess I naturally took the role of leading the newer dogs and helping them adapt to life here. It’s a modern day Cinderella story, don’t you think?!
KRYPTO aka “The Cool Dog on the Block”

Age: 2.5 years old
Favorite Activities: Making new friends, rolling on the grass, zooming around the studio
Bio: Howdy! I’m Krypto and I’d love to be your new best friend. I’ve been surrounded by other dogs my whole entire life, so you can count on me to charm you with my energy and playfulness. I came from a rescue home in Houston with 70 other dogs (basically a dog fraternity lolz). Thennnn, I moved to Dallas because it was time for a new adventure. It took some time to find the right roomies, but once I met Dexter and the Mantranaut family, I knew I was home. So what do I do for WM? I make sure everyone feels loved and inspired, because you know, you can’t make inspirational jewelry without inspiration! In my free time, I run and play all day without calling it quits. I love jumping on the bed and sofa too. But my all time favorite thing is having staring contests with the human until they give me food.
DORI aka “Diva”

Favorite Activities: Licking everything and everyone, eating, following others around
Bio: Ruff! Greetings! I was Krypto’s roommate in Houston and I’m his current roommate in Dallas too -- what a coincidence it is for us to have ended up here together. Krypto’s quite silly (shh, don’t tell him I said that!), so I spent a lot of time keeping him out of trouble. Due to my experience as a protector, I landed my dream job at WM, as Chief Security Officer! I’m the first one at the door when a stranger comes, because I have to make sure there’s no danger. I also enjoy following everyone around because that’s what good bodyguards do. But I’m not always so brave and ferocious. I’ve had some complicated health issues (heartworm), anxiety, and a pyometra infection! I champion for the health and security of my Mantranaut family, as well as our future rescue dogs.
